A motorcyclist, known simply as Alfa Sule, absconded after the death of his suspected lover, Muniat, while they were staying at a guesthouse in the Igbogbo Bayeku Local Council Development Zone, Lagos State.

Punch the subway It is understood that Muniat’s body was discovered during a routine inspection of the hotel by the hotel manager.

Following the discovery, the manager notified the Ikorodu Police Station, who were dispatched to the hotel to investigate the case, according to reports.

State Police Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin said Sule fled from the guest house, adding that efforts were underway to arrest him.

“The manager of the hotel called the Ikorodu police station around 6am on Saturday to report that he had found the body of a woman who had been taken to the hotel by a man on Friday night,” Hundeyin said.

“The 46-year-old woman was identified only as Muniat, while the man was identified as Alfa Sule. They entered the guest house on a motorcycle belonging to Sule and checked in on Friday.

“The manager said he found the woman’s body when he went around the room on Saturday morning, but Alpha Sule was nowhere to be found.”

Hundin said no signs of violence were found on Muniat’s body when police arrived at the scene.

He said, “But Alfa Sule abandoned his Bajaj motorcycle. The body was removed and deposited at the Ikorodu General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

“The hotel’s manager has been assisting police with their investigation while efforts are being made to apprehend Alpha Sulay who escaped.

“The case will be referred to the Homicide Squad of the National Criminal Investigation Department, Panthy, Yaba, for further investigation.”
