Delta State Police Command personnel rescued an unidentified man from a suicide attempt.

The order’s police public relations officer, DSP Bright Edafe, posted a Twitter message on Sunday.

A seeker contacted police and reported that his brother was about to commit suicide, the source said.

The victim gave the address where his body was located.

With this clue, the police rushed to the hotel where the victim locked himself up, and had already slit his wrist when they met him.

PPRO suggests the victim was rescued and taken to hospital at approximately 11:51 am on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

Following the post, police were praised by well-meaning social media users for their efforts to avert a suicide attempt.

In one of the posts, a Titus Asahitsu praised the police, saying: “Well done guys.”

Another social media user, who identified himself as Sir Kay, reacted, noting the agent’s actions as “great move. Good stuff.”

One Beelon also said, “Nawa oo…God bless the boss…God bless…Thanks to the Nigera Police…Life is tough these days but suicide is not an option..Good.”

A unanimous responder yelled: “Cutting wrists? Clearly he’s not ready to die.”

While praising the police, another social media user said, “Information like this gives us hope. Thanks to all officers for their quick response.”

Another anonymous commenter wrote: “Well done sir. I am proud of the Nigerian Police Force. I am proud of Delta Command.”
