Inspector-General of Police Usman Baba has instructed Osun Command Police Chief Olaleye Faleye to investigate her DCO, Ajayi Matthew, for allegedly assaulting female police inspector Bamidele Olorunsogo in the Ode Omu area. state.

This came after a video showing a dehumanized and abused Bamidr went viral on social media.

In the video, Bamidele accuses her senior colleague Matthew of assault and extortion at the Ode-Omu Police Divisional Headquarters in Osun State.

The policewoman claimed that Matthew had asked her to be his girlfriend, a request she declined on the grounds that she was married, but Matthew continued to blackmail and eventually attacked her

She said: “What crime did I commit? He started beating me and even stripped me of my clothes. Look at my chest, arms, scars all over the place. He was Ajay Mathew. He asked me out and let I became friends with him. I said no, I am a married woman.

“He started blackmailing me, claiming he was my lover, which is not true.”

Attempts to contact Matthews for comment on the allegations were futile as police did not answer our reporters’ calls.

Meanwhile, force spokesman Olumuyiwa Adhobi told reporters on Wednesday that the force headquarters would wait for an investigation report from the Osun state command and take necessary action on the matter.

“We will await an investigation report from the Osun State Police Command before taking the necessary action.

“However, we assure the public that justice will be served in this case to protect NPF’s core values and ethics,” Adhoby said.
