A total of 29 support groups in Plateau state on Thursday vowed to deliver the state to All Progressive Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu and the state’s APC gubernatorial candidate Dr Nentawe Yilwatda.
The group’s coordinator, Dr Mohammad Dashiru, expressed his support for the candidates at a public event in Jos on Thursday.
“We have the best candidates in the APC and it is not difficult to market them. Our presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and our gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, have a track record of success. We will campaign in the nooks and crannies of the country. , ensuring victory for them and other candidates competing under our platform.
“All our votes would be delivered to our candidates who have been tested and trusted, the present governor, Simon Lalong has done well in bringing peace to Plateau and Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda would bring massive development to the state if elected, we have confidence that Dr Nentawe to deliver democratic dividends to Highlands people as governor in 2023
Plateau Congressman’s running mate for the All Progressive Congress gubernatorial candidate. Pam Botmang described the Datinkowa community where the event was held as his home.
Botmang added that he believes the community will vote for the party in large numbers in the upcoming general election.
Yilwatda, in his goodwill message, thanked the people of the community for their support stressing that he would revamp the state if elected governor come 2023 .
He pledged to run a quality and people focused government when elected, adding that 10% of the state’s internally generated revenue would be deployed to empower youths, women, and people living with disabilities.
As part of the goals of achieving peace and security and inclusive economic development, Irwatda further committed to accelerating youth employment, introducing integrated rural development plans and community policing and participation of all citizens in national governance.
“We must empower young people, tackle poverty and lead them forward in governance,” he said. “My mission is to make Plateau the premier destination for investment, business, tourism and living.”
“The plateau youth are very creative and need to be empowered.”
He further stressed that the thrust of his policy, labelled “visit”, is a principle that governs the plateau without any affection for tribes or religions.
