Rangers International Football Club player Chidera Eze has pledged to give the club and its fans his all and some positivity to bring home a smile when the Nigerian Professional Football League resumes.
Eze revealed this to reporters at Enugu on Thursday, saying his return to the club after a two-and-a-half season absence would be fruitful.
According to the right-back, “It is a great thing to be back at the club and I am delighted to be reunited with the club that gave me a base.
“It has not been an easy journey, playing for other clubs in the Nigerian Professional Football League, but thank God for getting me back to health.
“I will give my all to ensure that Rangers pursue the league, the Aiteo Cup and crown it with an Intercontinental ticket.
“Well, it’s all up to God, but the players and my personal goal is to get something tangible in the upcoming season.
“The club has changed a lot, starting with the coaching staff and the players, but I have no doubts about their ability.”
Eze said the players recruited by the club are good and great, noting that the coach himself is a force to be reckoned with in the NPFL.
He said he gained a lot of experience in his extensive travels around the league, describing the Rangers as a household name in the league.
“Rangers are a world-renowned team, a proud Igbo team, with a lot of positive history.
“I’ve also played at Gombe United and Meteor, but the Stars are a great team in the west of the country with a rich history.
“Crossing the club has been an unforgettable journey for me, but I don’t think twice about rejoining Rangers.
“I was happy when I got the call from Rangers, but I thought it was just a joke until I got a call from the club’s management to go home,” he said.
Eze said he would go all out to win over the club’s fans and promised to put a smile on their faces with his performance.
“I love Rangers, their fans, I know they love me and I’m sure this new marriage will be fruitful,” Eze said.
